Tuba commission
Several years ago I had an idea that the Tuba Association, T.U.B.A. should commission Peter Schickele aka. P.D.Q. Bach, to compose the "Serenade for Tenorhorn and Strings," based on the Benjamin Britten work of (almost) the same name. I would like to again propose this. I believe this early precluder of the Britten work would be a natural for realization. Those instructions in the Britten work to purposely not correct the intonation in the overtone series would be a piece of cake for the tenorhorn, baritione, euphonium or whatever you want to call it.

I have spoken of this idea to Peter. I will even offer to present a performance of this work with my own orchestra, The Symphony of Oak Park and River Forest, and any soloist named by the association. How about it, people?
