Friedman plays a Bach Stradivarius tenor trombone with a 42G Mount Vernon bell, Greenhoe valve, and 50LW slide.
    Visit the Selmer Bach website.

His alto trombone is a 1966 Latzsch.
    Visit the Latzsch website.

Friedman is working with Max and Heinrich Thein to replicate an old German Kruspe trombone. Details about this project and photos of the instruments are available online (updated 5/9/2005).
